Inspell question

What does "use heuristics" mean in settings?

I believe that "heuristics" is the database that it gets the words from, if you go on cydia you can download heuristics in various languages, ie i have it downloaded for UK English.

Inspell works great too, red underline of misspelled words, I wonder why Apple doenst include this by default
