The question you're confused with made sense :) It's more about expressing yourself than about getting an official answer from Instagram. I'm curious to know why they don't change that old and childish by modern times icon. And even here someone may know and reply what's the story behind keeping it intact for many years.

Following your logic there's no point in any comments here. Don't like the icon? Wait silently till they'll change it. Found a bug? Report directly to Instagram. Don't like the update? Deal with it. Like the update? Good for you. But people are not robots.
So it sounds like the question you wanted to ask would be "Why don't they change the icon/logo?", and the answer to that would be that so far it seems like they like the icon/logo that they have.

Like when last did you ask a sensible question?
Seems like today.

Well, they are owned by Facebook.

yep - to be accurate, i suppose my countdown started back then when purchased. i knew it couldn't be good. makes me wonder what the future of the rift will look like.

edit: on a sidenote, i'm getting more and more instagram sponsored ads targeting subjects that i only discuss out loud with my SO - rather than leaving trackable queries in-app or online (and i don't even have a facebook) - so that's kinda giving me the heebies...

Aren't you mad at Twitter there, not Instagram?

Ummm, Instagram is the one that took that away, not Twitter. Instagram didn't want people looking at IG photos on Twitter. They wanted people to have to actually go to Instagram. I guess you were asleep when all that went down.

Some customers will have immediate access to the longer video option, while others will gain it in the coming months.
I guess I'm in the "coming months" group.... Tried to post a 53 second video and saw I only got 15 seconds of it. :(
