Instagram Gains Support for iOS 13's Dark Mode

Popular social networking app Instagram was today updated to add Dark Mode support for iOS 13, introducing a darker theme that activates when Dark Mode is turned on.

The new Dark Mode option is available throughout the app, from viewing the main feed to browsing to the profile. Dark Mode can be accessed by activating Dark Mode on an iPhone running the iOS 13 update.

To get Dark Mode, the latest version of Instagram is required, even though the release notes don't mention the new feature.

How do i enable darkmode for instagram on iOS 13? (i dont want to use dark mode for the rest of my system, i just want to use darkmode in instagram)
 
This sucks, I like the way the photos “pop” more in dark mode for Instagram. But I don’t love system-wide dark mode and I don’t want to leave that enabled just for Instagram. Boo.

yes because dark mode is the best thing ever made since sliced bread! :rolleyes: I always see sites saying this app or that app just got dark mode like they just invented something! If anything, it hurts my eyes after a while and I go back to the light mode.

Would love to see messenger get support to match system mode WhatsApp also needs dark mode.

just put the toggle in control centre and activate it when you’re in insta

Instagram does. Messenger doesn’t but should soon.

In every way? How so? I like it for some apps such as YouTube but I don’t like it systemwide

Yeah it gets a ton of coverage. It’s interesting.
