For those who care. If you delete the app then sign out of the App Store.
Without signing back in redownload the app you'll get the new version.

never showed up in updates for me so i just uninstalled and reinstalled the app and now on 6.0.0 in the about this version within the app. in updates it shows updated today and lists 5.0.13 version.

Still can't take this app seriously since it's not native on the iPad.

Padgram is a great alternative, though you cant post from it. I like viewing pictures on my ipad rather than my phone.

This worked for me also, but is anyone else now experiencing anything weird with their iPhone after installing Instagram 6.0? Such as a sharper battery drain or your TouchID fingerprint(s) removed???

I got it by doing as I said in the post above yours.

didnt work for me. After deleting the app and signing out I even killed all running apps. I then went in to the app store found instagram (said version 6.0) but after installing it still got 5.0.13

It may actually not be ready; I swear my iPhone acted really strange after installing Instagram 6.0. Seems fine now, after shutting down all apps and rebooting my phone.

I know every site wants to report the latest goods; but it seems like everyone jumped the gun on this one. Feels like a beta app.

i have read that there is still issues with getting this update to show up for users. uninstall and reinstall does the trick but you shouldn't have to. i wouldnt be surprised to see an 6.0.1 update soon enough anyway.

The update still isn't showing up for me, but I'm not fretting about it. When it shows up as an update in the App Store, I'll update it.

Worked for me.

This update included things I'd been using other apps to accomplish before importing into Instagram. After downloading the IG update, I was able to delete three other photo editing apps.

Not kidding - I keep it on the second page of apps despiste using it daily, simply because of this. The icon is HORRIBLE.
