Totally. So many things have been ruined over the years by feature creep.exactly how facebook started dying btw. add more features, more options, more ads - and people are willing to try simpler stuff - like IG back in the day, or TT now.
Tech “news” sites often use ‘finally’ in their clickbait headlines completely unnecessarily. Finally!!
Yep, it's a change more or less requiring a single line of code changing the sort criteria."in the works for months"... This used to be the way the feed was. Why does this have to take a long time, as if it's a new feature?
It’s been years since they ditched it they forgot how it works"in the works for months"... This used to be the way the feed was. Why does this have to take a long time, as if it's a new feature?
There’s a bad word in arabic that almost rhymes with Meta. I refer to it as that.Meta… beta, feta, cheta, yeta…. Sounding like Eminem over here 😂
It takes a long time to type 'order by date_posted desc'."in the works for months"... This used to be the way the feed was. Why does this have to take a long time, as if it's a new feature?
tis' very hard to afford useability to the user whilst retaining the most holy, profitability."in the works for months"... This used to be the way the feed was. Why does this have to take a long time, as if it's a new feature?
They're not "incompetent." They've carefully weighed and tested exactly how much more they can keep people hooked into an algorithmically-driven feed, and how much more revenue that delivers them. It was taken away for a reason, and if I had to guess they're putting it back because 1) they're starting to get a lot more scutiny of their business practices and their platform's effects on users and 2) they may be going the route of Twitter and offering chronological feed as an option, calculating that a lot of people just won't bother changing views.Unwillingness, incompetence or both. Take your pick.
Charge a fee for no ads. WhatsApp used to be 99p a year after the first year, that alone would £2bn in revenue for doing nothing, and is an app that is so mature that very few people would complain about having to pay such an inconsequential amount.how do you keep platform free without them?
however the amount of if has gone up massively in 2021. same for youtube. gotta show the growth to the investors somehow, no?
Same, then I got fed up them completely and just deleted the app. I don’t miss it.Charge a fee for no ads. Have an option to pay £2.99 or even £4.99 a year for ZERO ads in Instagram and I would be back into being fully submerged in it again. As it stands, I hate using it and I report every ad for being offensive just out of spite.
I see many here say they have deleted a certain social media app, but the thing is, did you delete your account first before deleting the app or you just thought deleting the app deletes your account?Same, then I got fed up them completely and just deleted the app. I don’t miss it.

Nah, I’m not that stupid to think deleting the app deletes the account. 😉I see many here say they have deleted a certain social media app, but the thing is, did you delete your account first before deleting the app or you just thought deleting the app deletes your account?
