Been very busy with work and haven't had time to follow the forums like usual. Still running 13.6. How has 14 been and does the impending 14.1 look stable enough to upgrade? Run my businesses off my MBP, so I'm always cautious. Thanks.

I would still hold off for a short bit if you're able to. Although bugs can crop up for one person and then nothing for another, The general consensus is that it needs more time in the oven. I'm running Sonoma on both an M1 MBP and a 2018 Intel Mac mini. On each machine I'm having different separate issues, not show-stopper type of bugs, but bugs none the less.

One thing I've noticed over the years is that when a New OS is released, there tends to be a lot of bugs that weren't experienced over the summer beta period. It's been like this for a while..

(Weird, new "bug" I guess... As I am literally typing this now and looking down at my keyboard as I type, using my peripheral to see the screen, it seemed like the "shape" of the sentences were changing. I looked up and noticed that some of the earlier text I typed up there was actively changing to odd characters with like diacritical marks and stuff. Looks like I'm going to need to proof read everything, not just for spelling but to make sure the actual words I typed are still there.)

I have lots of issues with all the new xOS releases, where components will refuse to play nice or changes I make to them won't take effect (screensavers on Sonoma, I'm looking at you; complications on watchOS, you're not getting out of this, either), or BT on iOS will forget that Handoff is a thing. It's vaguely annoying that a feature that worked pretty much flawlessly in the immediate prior releases is dead. I can get work done, but a lot of the niceties are geborken now. I'd hold off, maybe even until the x.2 releases drop.

jk73:

there was no difference from Ventura to Sonoma on my MBA m1 2020.
I had some minor or really small (Minuscule) issue like
songs being airplay with HomePods or needing to reboot my tv everyday to read my MacBook Air.
personally I prefer Monterey or even Ventura but Sonoma is still a great OS as all three are fast and responsive.
if you can live without the wonderment of Sonoma, jk73 I would stay with what you have.

I hoped this helped!

Then I would wait until you have time to follow the forums as there are numerous posts claiming issues and numerous posts claiming no issues.
I love Sonoma then something like "Baba O'Riley" is playing then stops as "Bargain" needs a click to play.
i'm biased due to Monterey being an incredible OS, may the best release yet?
