I want to install windows vista and be able to run on my external drive to use on my MacBook pro. (I would like to avoid partitioning the internal drive.) Can anyone help me with clear step by step instructions, or suggested programs to use? I have a Gtechnology external drive (USB/FireWire) and 17" MacBook pro.
I have scanned so many posts and tried several "tips," but have been unsuccessful thus far.
Thank you to anyone who can assist!

You can't find a guide because there is no sure-fire way to get Windows Vista/7 running on an external removable drive on your Mac. (Unlike XP, which can be made to work with some significant effort).

Keep trying. Maybe you'll be he one to find "the way".
