Install discs - Can they be used for any Mac?

My friend recently gave me one of his old Mac Minis. He couldn't find the install discs, and I'd like to format the hard drive and have everything fresh and new. I was thinking of buying a Tiger install disc on ebay (legit), but it says its for the Macbook and therefore I assume an Intel Mac.

I know Tiger works for both PPC and Intel, but does that count for the install discs that come with hardware too? Also, I assume there shouldn't be any problems to do with the discs being for a laptop and my comp being a Mini?

No. Install disks are architecture and computer specific. There were also no retail Intel Tiger copies.
