fab5freddy macrumors 65816 Original poster Jan 19, 2008 #3 ok, i just inserted the install disk into my macbook pro with a 200 GB external FireWire 800 connection, and it is telling me i cannot install OS X on this drive....? what's going on ? i want to install OS X on this 200 GB FW 800 drive.........

r.j.s Moderator emeritus Jan 19, 2008 #5 What is the drive formatted as? It needs to be HFS+ in order to be available for install. As for getting the DVD out try this (scroll down for the eject instructions)
