I just partitioned and installed windows xp (with a lot of help from this forum). Can I download printer software/drivers into windows so that it can access my printer as well as my Mac hard drive? Are there any glitches a novice wouldn't forsee in doing this?

Yeah, just download and install the drivers that are provided by the manufacturer. If you tell me the make and model, I can find you the drivers you need
To read and write HFS+ under Windows, you need HFSExplorer
To read and write HFS+ under Windows, you need HFSExplorer
As far as i know you will need to install the right driver for each OS.
i.e.
Windows drivers in Windows
Mac OS drivers in Mac OS
Only then will you be able to use the printer with both OSes.
