Hello
I want to install an application from an original DVD installer, but my macbok pro spits out the dvd every single time. The drive is not broken, because it reads everything else. I don't have an external dvd drive, but I do have a G5 iMac with Tiger. Can I use the iMac to install the application to the macbook pro with Leopard? The application on the DVD, however, is not compatible with Tiger...
ty!

I think the optical drive can be shared over FireWire Target Disk Mode. If you have a cable to connect the two systems, start up the iMac with the T key held, until a FireWire symbol appears. The iMac's hard drive and the DVD mounted in the optical drive will show up on your MacBook Pro's desktop. Double click on the drive and installer then select the MacBook Pro's hard drive as the install destination.
