Install internal HD on MBP

I just bought WD Scorpio Blue 500gb sata HD for my 2.4ghz MBP

#1 Does anyone have a step by step guide for install?

#2 After installed, do I load the MBP OS discs that came w/ computer then install Leopard...or do I just go straight to the Leopard disc?

Is it a unibody MBP or the early 2008 version?

The install disks have the OS included. Are you reinstalling from scratch and not cloning the drive?

You want the aluminum instructions then. You could go right to the Leopard disks, but then it's a hassle to get the iLife apps if you don't have a separate set of install disks for that... assuming you want iLife.

what is the aluminum instructions?? i read somewhere about fixit.com or something like tis will give step by step directions....no i dont need iLife

I provided two links in my previous post. Use the aluminum instructions as this is the type of MBP you have.

Took me about an hour from start to finish. Just need to keep track of all the little screws. Not a bad job overall.
