A friend wants Leopard on his MacBook where the disc drive stopped working. But, I have a .iso copy of the install DVD on my Mac mini. Is it as simple as putting the iso on the flash drive doing Option on startup, or are some extra steps required? Thanks!

Use CarbonCopyCloner to use the .iso file as SOURCE and the USB drive as TARGET.
Then use it normally to boot from it.

You can even do this with Disk Utility. I haven't installed from optical media in ages. Putting the installer on flash makes the installation go faster.

I've not had too much luck in using Carbon Copy Cloner to make a bootable USB drive, but I have done this disk utility and the restore tab.
