Hi,

When I got my external drive, I backed up my copy of leopard onto my drive so that if I lost the disks, I'd still have a copy.
Such a thing has happended, and I need to do a clean install.
Is it possible to install (reformat and install) from a FW400 drive?

I know its possible to burn it to a dual layered dvd, but I don't think my iMac can burn them, and the fact that they're stupidly expensive.

Any help on this would be amazing.

Edd

Hi,

Thanks for the link..
However, the files I have are .toast files.
I can double click and open them from osx and do the install from there, but it won't let me select the files in disk utility (by following that link).

Thanks

Edd

hello
I think disk tility recognizes .toast files... in the image menu, click on scan image for restore....click ur image file...after its checked, click on the restore tab. drag the image into source, and drag the taget disk into destination...and ur done..

hope that helps
