putting a bigger HD in my macbook so i can store more movies on it. i tossed my recovery disks a while back while moving, so can i use my fiances' recovery disks from her macbook pro since we both have leopard? -she has a faster cpu, if that matters for the disk-

thanks

If yours is a MacBook and hers is a MacBook Pro, then the answer is "no"
Recovery discs are machine/model specific

You would need a retail copy of Leopard
Edit: or as robbieduncan suggests below, contact Apple for replacements

However, you should be able to just clone your system to the new HDD
Just use an external enclosure

Nope: the underlying ID of a MacBook Pro and a MacBook are different so it won't install. You should contact Apple and pay for them to ship you the correct restore DVDs. It's cost you $20-$30. Why did you just "toss" them?
