Hi, this is my first post and am new to the mac world.

Just got my first powerpc and am wanting to install the latest operating system for a powerPC, I believe this is OSX 105.6 Leopard.

If i purchase the original DVDs from ebay but the Imac version will that run on PowerPC or does it have to be the PowerPC version?

Thanks

Mike

Depending on what model PPC mac you're talking about, either 10.4 or 10.5 will be the highest version of OSX you can install.

You will need either the disks that are specifically for that model PPC Mac or a "retail" disk (which will install on any Mac model)
