Install Types with OSX 10.4 Tiger

I know there will be three different install types with Tiger.

1. Simple Upgrade

2.Archive and Install

3.Erase and Install

Can someone please explain these upgrades/install methods in more detail what will be the pro's and cons of each of them.

Got a PB and not sure which would be the best option.

Simple Upgrade just replaces files until you are running Tiger. Can leave system instability if some files are not replaced correctly, etc.

Archive and Install removes the old system but keeps all user data intact (if you check a box). Data (like the old system) is moved to a folder in the root level of the hard drive in a folder called "Previous Systems" so that you can get data from there if needed. Then you can delete it when you think it is safe.

Erase and Install wipes your hard drive and leaves you with a clean Tiger install and nothing more.
