Install windows 7 on Macbook air 2010

Anyone can share how to install windows 7 on macbook air (2010 model)?
Maybe install from USB drive since macbook air does not have DVD drive..

tutorial video would much appreciated..😀

The way above will get you to your ultimate goal. However, I am not a huge fan of using a modified EFI boot like refit. The simplest way is to plug in an external dvd rom drive and install it from there.

I dont want to hear about the cost savings of doing it with a modified EFI. If you spend $1100 - $1500 on a MBA, you can afford to install windows the right way.

All you are doing is enabling the USB boot ability. You can remove that ability and everything will be at default setting.

We aren't talking about adjusting CPU frequencies here..

I followed that guide a couple of months ago and it was a painless install 🙂

Agreed. The USB method is essentially a hack... and not even for something that cool. And it requires a Windows machine anyway. A $20 CD drive will do the trick. No need to play with a hack that can already be done legitimately.

I don't know if you are trying to install Windows 7 on VMWare or something else, but here are the instructions that I followed and it worked like a champ on my MacBook Air 13" Ultimate.

Since the ISO that the above site links to is no longer available, I grabbed the Windows 7 Pro 64-bit ISO from this site: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2010/...cial-32-bit-and-64-bit-direct-download-links/

I already had the license key from the disc that I purchased, and used that to install and authenticate Windows 7. I just didn't see a point in purchasing an external DVD drive that I was only going to use once.
