Is it possible to install Windows from an external Optical drive? I just installed a 500GB HDD where the optical drive was located in my 15" Early 2011 MPB.

No...only thing you need to do is put back the optical drive. After install the windows the put back again the optibay.
Can I install Windows from a USB drive with the ISO copied to it?
