Install x11 without install disc?

Hey guys,
I was wondering if there was a way I could install X11 without the install disc? My MBP's slot drive does not work anymore for some reason so it refuses to accept my SL disc. I went to the Apple Store and they said it's broken and I have to pay since I don't have the warranty anymore.

So how can I get x11 for SL on my mbp?

Your optical disc drive is kinda important. Don't you think that you oughta get it fixed?

you can always buy a cheap external USB DVD drive.

I had the same issue at one point. I believe I resolved it by booting in Firewire Target Mode:

This allowed me to use the DVD Drive of another computer to install software.

Well I'm also a college student and I really don't want to spend a lot of money right now. 😱

I guess I'll just make do with a cheap USB dvd drive.
