Hello, I have been having trouble getting xcode 4.2 to install.

I was having trouble submitting my app to the app store and I read that reinstalling xcode could help solve the problem. I uninstalled xcode 4.0.2, and downloaded xcode 4.2 for snow leopard from the developer portal. Now when I open the disk image and start installer and try install it it says "Installation Failed". How can I solve this problem?

Check the installer log for the error

Did you just now download the disk image? or did you save it from the last time you installed Xcode?

After March 23 2012 a lot of Installers and Upgrades I had saved on my external hard drive quit working because their "certificate" expired, so when i went to install Xcode again i had to redownload it cuz theres no way I've seen to bypass that stupid failure.
