Installation procedure of a new SSD disc?

Hey,

Just bought a new SSD disc for my Macbook Pro mid 2012.

Can i directly replace my old disc with the new SSD disc and then boot from a USB stick with a fresh OSX install?

Yes, you can just do a fresh install and I recommend Sierra. Make sure to enabled trim after installation.
