Ok, just installed the latest AirPort extreme base station...in a PC, xp. Had a Lynksis n router before, so this should be an upgrade. Got it installed, just use the step by step guide, choose passwords etc. Works fine..but, speed is terriable. On the iphone 4 i get between 9-50 kbps tops. If i use the "guest" network i set up i get 50-100 kpbs. In fact it is so slow that the www.4g-speed.info times out half the time and just gives up trying to measure. On the old router, exact same location i got 150-200 kbps. I am not computer savy, so i dont know how to diagnose..any help woul be apreciated. Thanks

What are your settings on the Airport? Type, channel, etc.
Your network could just be conflicting with an existing network resulting in the slow speeds.

I dont know the answer

Like i said, i am not a tech person. I just set it up using the airport air base agent...it did all the work. I dont have any other networks running, it is in a house. How do i change the channel?? thanks, i apreciate it..it is really slow.

Any ideas???

Any ideas apreciated. My guest network [default from airport setup] runs 3 times faster then my main....any thought apreciated.

Are you only having speed issues on the iphone 4? Or is it on any wireless device?
