Installed El Capitan now MacBook stuck in start up

Mac is now stalled out in grey startup screen. Now what the hell am I going to do?
 
Prepare to use your backup, there are several other posts with the similar circumstance. Try rebooting the MacBook several times, if no change reset the PRAM, if no change apply backup.
