The new iPhones will without a doubt have the gm version even if a new patch comes out since they've already been loaded on the phones. I know this for a fact because I work retail for one of the four major carriers. I activate at least 10-20 iPhones a day and when 6.1.4 came out, every new iPhone had 6.1.3 on them. The customer had to go home and update to 6.1.4(which they never did) because we do not have wifi in our store so even if they do patch it it's highly likely many customers will not update.

7.0 GM Seed runs fine for me so I don't think that there will be a 7.0.1, all those people having trouble downloaded it from Third Party Websites. Just FYI.

Well considering that I didn't download my ipsw from a a third party site, have installed every beta of iOS 7 on both iPhone an iPad, have submitted bug reports and have noticed as some of these "bugs" crept through from build to build, I have to tell you that you're talking utter nonsense. Again.

Your comments here are tantamount to scaremongering and there are members here who aren't as clued up on these things who don't need guys like you coming on with a tone spouting wrong information.

For example:

The animation when returning to the home screen on the iPad after using the four finger pinch gesture a) ends unnaturally and at a different pace to the start of the animation and b) is different to the animation seen when returning home using the home button. On iOS 6 both the gesture and pressing the button resulted in the same animation.

If you're going to spout rubbish its advisable to have some form of knowledge which at least hints that you're in a position of experience as opposed to liking the sound of your own voice and scaremongering lesser experienced members of the board.

Actually it is. If 7.0.1 contains fixes for the things many users of these forums are complaining about - mainly iPad iOS 7 GM, the mass public will not have to deal with the bugs we on these forums see now...as they will have 7.0.1 as their first experience with iOS 7, not the GM.
And most customers getting 5C or 5S won't upgrade right away, so most of those will still have 7.0 as their first experience.

Don't give advice if you don't know what you are talking about. It's not possible to flash a firmware that's not completely identical to the 'real' GM because Apple verifies the file's hash. It doesn't matter where the firmware was downloaded from.

And, if there was a way to download a modified GM , the jail breakers would be ecstatic!
