Installed iOS5 and all my photos are gone

It seems that my photo album has completely gone away. Any ideas on why this could have happened?

I looked at my iCloud settings and it shows my camera roll has 4.6GB (but can't see any photos)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You do realize iOS5 beta is intended for developers and should not be used on your everyday device right? Are you a developer? From your statement calling yourself a noobie it seems like you are not.

Connect your phone to your computer and open iphoto, they should all be there.

The poster above was refering to jailbreaking your phone to access the directory where photos are stored.
