installed max memory in g4 silverdoor but one slot shows memory failed, tried
swapping arround, all memory is working, i notice from other posts this is a common problem? any help to solve would be appreciated!!!

I'm only really here at night.
IF you are 100% certain that all the sticks are good, but one of your slots has failed, then you are SOL, unless of course you have the necessary skills & tools to replace it.....

Although, you could shop around for a replacement motherboard & just swap it instead...... probably a bit more $$ but a WHOLE lot less hassle in the end :p

Check with Apple, if it is a common problem, they may have issued a warranty extension for it. Give them a call, it can't hurt.
