installer freezes when refreshing sources

this just started today

I open up installer and it gets about halfway through and then it just stops.

I have to hold down the home button until it quits...I know that a restore will fix this but i dont want to redo all of the customization that I've done. Can I reinstal installer?

I would appreciate any feedback.

installer has always hung in the middle on mine.....however if I am patient it will finish up after a couple of minutes. you just have to not let it go to sleep while waiting.

Yes, what Mercury said...sometimes you have to wait it out longer....and prevent it from sleeping.

If connection is not stable, sometimes it might hang. Usually if you wait long enough, you will get an error message.
