"Installers" folder - can I delete it?

Is it safe to delete the "installers" folder located in the Applications folder? It's about 600 MB, and I could use the space.

That's not a normal file - again, what's in there?

Did you install an app and that appeared there?

I don't believe I installed anything that caused it - I thought it was a default OS X file.

inside is:

Applications>Installers>Xcode Tools

inside the Xcode Tools folder there are a couple PDFs ("About Applescript Studio"), a file called "Developer.mpkg", and a folder called Packages; attached is a screenshot of what's inside that folder

whatever it is, its not system default stuff, so if u wanna delete it, i would say go ahead.
