installin giLife '04 issues

I reinstalled the OS on my iBook G3. Now when I try to install iLife '04 it says that I have one of the applications open. I do not have anything running. What do you think the problem may be. I have tried restarting, and using the DVD version and the CD version. The Cd version says to use the DVD, and the DVD gives me the error I noted above. thanks for any help.

Right-click the Install icon and choose Show Original. It will come up with a whole lot of packages. Try installing the ones you want manually (eg. iMovie.pkg, GarageBand.mpkg etc).
