Have an iBook G4, got it with Panther, skipped Tiger, and decided to upgrade to Leopard. Turns out Leopard isn't compatible with my wifi router, and since I'm a cheapskate I'm not about to buy a new router. So I'm going back to Panther. Here's the question: I can't find the Panther restore discs for my iBook, but was able to find the ones for an iMac in my household bought around the same time. On the discs, it specifies that they are for an iMac; will they work okay in my iBook?

Thanks so much for any suggestions.

Most likely not – the disks are tailored for the model of computer they were supplied with, so I doubt you'll have much joy using the iMac disks with your iBook.

it might be worthwhile having another good look for those missing iBook disks.
