If you're doing the Public Beta, it's a simple OTA update. You won't have to restore a thing.

Just do an encrypted backup in iTunes, before you update. This way if you aren't happy with the beta, you can restore back to the 9.0.1.

I like beta 2 real well.

Thanks for the reply. Is an encrypted backup a requirement? Can't it be unencrypted?
