I was wondering if anyone knows of a good AdBlocker for Safari (I am running MacOS High Sierra on a 2015 MBA) which can be downloaded without the Apple App Store.

Preferably something light as I am trying to keep this device as light as possible.

I am new to this so forgive my ignorance on this matter.

Thank you.

You can search for a Safari extension called AdGuard. I used to use the AdGuard app but any type of disk cleaner or anti-virus will tend to slow down a Mac. An alternative is to use something like Brave browser with built in ad blocking capabilities.

Thanks. I am not seeing just an extension of AdGuard. I am seeing a full app.

When you accept the terms of an Ad Blocker, note that it says the software has access to all of your browsing history and data. So be sure it’s a company you trust.
