I'm wanting to use the gnu backgammon app, but I have to install x11 first.

Firstly, is it the X11 SDX file in the xcode tools package, or something else? I've read about a file called X11 User, but I can't find it on my disc.

Do I just install the X11 sdx app, or do other apps need to be installed as well?

How do I delete this if I decide I don't want to use the gnu backgammon or have x11 on my mac?

Is anyone using gnu backgammon?

I'm using the latest Tiger btw. iMac intel Core duo.

Yes, there are Mac users who run gnubg. Fantastic program, and free.

I use it, but I have Leopard. I also compile from source. My suggestion is that you send your questions in email to bug-gnubg@gnu.org (yes, I know
you're not reporting a big, just trust me). A helpful guy named Mike Petch should respond to assist you.

Thanks LPZ, I just sent an email, (I had to join the mailing list first), hopefully I'll get some help.

Do you know of any good backgammon communities? Places to discuss strategy etc.. I really want to improve my game, I just got the Magriel Backgammon book.

EDIT: He repiled! I now have the app working.
