Installing Beta 3 with IPSW download

I am trying to install B3 on my 16" MBP using the IPSW download and Apple Configurator. I have my Mac Studio connected to the MBP with the Apple USB-C cable, put the MBP in DFU mode, which shows properly on the Mac Studio. I invoke the Restore option and in about 10 seconds I get the error: mode, libusbrestore error:21 [com.apple.MobileDevice.MobileRestore – 0x15 (21)]. I have seen this discussed in other threads but have not seen a solution. Any ideas?

Perhaps the Mac Studio has to also be running Ventura?

I think you have to have Ventura on studio too...

I have B3 installed. I think its because the MBP isn't going into DFU mode properly.. I have tried the MacVDMTool Mrmacintosh recommends but the directions are difficult to understand. I wonder if DFU is hosed up. Any ideas?
