Hello people

Is it okay if i use downloaded applications like Office 2011, Parallel Desktop, Windows7 on a new MBP?
Anybody doing that or tried that before? Will there be any problems or worst case scenario? haha

For the 2.4GHz MacBook Pro (MC371ZP/A),
Can it utilize the full 8GB of RAM if i were to upgrade from 4GB to 8GB?

Hope you all can help me.

Same here. Win7 you may need to burn a disk and load from there, I forget what I did when I loaded it into Parallels.

Obviously with software downloads you'll want to make backup copies of the install packages on a flash drive or external disk.

What exactly do you mean by "downloaded applications"? If you paid for Microsoft Office and downloaded it from Microsoft's website, then there is no problem. If you try to download Microsoft Office from some pirating website, that is where we have to explain that MacOS X is virus proof but not idiot proof, and that is how some Mac users catch malware - quite deservedly.
