I have the ISPW but tried to install GG in UTM and "an error has occurred" popped up right as it was starting the installation. Attempting to install on an Apple Silicon laptop, FWIW.

How do I fix this?

I used UTM to install MacOS through their script, which installed Sequoia, and then went to mrmacintosh.com and downloaded the file there. It all went pretty smoothly.

Gotcha. I'd prefer to install GG "virgin" without any underlying previous OSes.

You need to download Xcode 27 and from it install MobileDevice.pkg & CoreTypes.pkg
They are in /Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Resources/Packages/MobileDevice.pkg & /Xcode-beta.app/Contents/Resources/Packages/CoreTypes.pkg
As of writing, Apple has not released them separately, as it usually does.
Download Xcode 27 from https://developer.apple.com/xcode/

After installing MobileDevice.pkg I am able to proced with installation but somewhere in about 70-80 % it still fails with a similar error. If I recall correctly then I saw some hints about boot security configuration. As I have to use some third-party kernel extensions, I cannot set it to "full". If this is a reason of failure then I have to test it elsewhere...

I have
Secure Boot: Permissive Security
System Integrity Protection: Disabled
Allow All Kernel Extensions: Yes
and the installation completed without issues in VirtualBuddy
To check the above settings
Code:
system_profiler SPiBridgeDataType

I was able to install by first installing Tahoe, then signing into developer account, then downloading and installing Golden Gate from within the VM (General - software update). But I can't figure out how to get the new Siri or join the waitlist. Anyone figure that part out?

Then it looks like something went wrong somewhere after 26.2 because that's when I created macOS VM last time and then it worked wihout problems.

It looks like for UTM one has to install 26.5.1 VM and then update it to 27 beta 1. This worked for me (I am on 26.5.1).

To update from beta 1 to beta 2:
Code:
sudo defaults write /private/var/root/Library/Preferences/com.apple.MobileAsset.plist MobileAssetAssetAudience -string 621ba5ab-54b6-4a71-891a-425ac0ce4551

Does anyone know why I can't sign in to my iCloud account on GG Dev Beta 2 running in Virtual Buddy? I get an error saying “Unable to perform the operation” or something similar. However, I can sign in through a browser. I can't sign in through the App Store or by adding an iCloud account either.

Virtualization has a lot of limitations but this probably requires either an update to UTM or to the host OS to start working.
App Store access isn't supported by virtualization at all on Apple Silicon macOS guests, though.

I always got "Verification Failed An unknown error occurred."
