I am new to Mac (I've had my MacBook for about 3 weeks now, I love it ) Anyways, I downloaded GIMP as an alternative for Photoshop until I can get Photoshop and when I try to open it, it says "Gimp.app requires OS11" What do I do?

And I'm truly sorry if this has been asked before.

GIMP needs a program called X11, which is a windowing system for UNIX apps to run inside of OSX.

There is a small guide on X11 in the MacGuides section of MacRumors. Here.

You will have to install X11 for The GIMP to run properly. Good luck, tell us how you like GIMP.
