installing leopard on more than one computer?

just need a quick answer.... i have a copy of leopard that i installed on my macbook and i want to install it on my gf's as well... can this be done? or is it like windows and you can only install it on one computer per copy?

I think it does work, but the target Mac has to be the exact same model as the Mac that came with the original Installation Disks...
