Recently my G5 powermac had it's boot drive fail. So now it's sitting in the corner doing nothing, looking miserable. But I have 2 new hard drives for it - 300gb and 500gb ready to install.

What do I do now? Is it as simple as buying 'Leopard install discs' from Apple and installing fresh and everything is back to normal? Is this as simple as I am imagining?

Also, is there only 1 type of leopard install disc package? Someone once told me that imacs Leopard install discs are different to Powermacs who are different to Mac Mini's???? Surely not?

Just go to the Apple store and buy a Leopard install disc. Install as you normally would.

That person was talking about the discs that come in the computer's box, not the retail. The ones in a computer's box are specific to that model computer. The retail discs can be used on any Mac that meets the specs.
