Installing Leopard onto my G4 imac

Hi,

I've recently purchased Leopard (family pack) to upgrade the powerbook.

I have a G4 imac and it has plenty of ram and 1ghz. Does anyone know if this will work with Leopard? I put it in and it asks me to shutdown to install the new software but it's been a couple of hours going on the coloured wheel and blue screen (the drive seems to be making the right noises). Would anyone know how long it should take?

They guys at the store insisted that it would work but it seems to be taking a very long time.

• Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5, or PowerPC G4 (867MHz or faster) processor

it should work

Apple says up to 2 1/2 hours if done via clean install .. less if archive n install ..
