I just got an eMac and since it has no DVD drive I am trying to figure out the easiest and cheapest way to install Leopard onto it.
If I bought a retail leopard disc to upgrade my grandpas Mac that has a DVD drive, could I then use Carbon Copy to completely copy his Leopard Hard drive then put that image or whatever onto my eMacs hardrive so I can have Leopard?
I would use the Firewire Target mode thing but I really dont want to bring my eMac all the way to my grandpas. This thing ways 50Lbs!!!

Thanks. 😱

Not really. Some of the process is hardware specific. Also, I'm not sure if the eMac can install Leopard (don't quote me on that though).

More importantly, the Leopard install disc is for one computer. You need a family license to install Leopard onto more than one machine.
