I'm installing Leopard on my new SSD tommorow. Anything I should know before? (Like partitioning the SSD/formatting, does Apple use a special filesystem etc).

Is it straight forward? How long will it take? Does it come with all the apps? I noticed that I received 2 DVDs, 1 Leopard and 1 Applications. Will the standard apps like Safari and such come with the Leopard installation disc or will it be in the applications disc? If it's not a standard install, then I'd rather get it from Apple's website for the most up to date version.

The OS X install DVD that came with my UMBP did not even recognize my OCZ Apex SSD when it was internally installed, even when properly partitioned. I had to put the drive into a USB enclosure then install OS X that way. Once it was installed I then put the drive in the MBP and everything's been working fine since. I've read reports online of other SSDs having similar issues with MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

The Applications DVD is just iLife I think.
