Buy Mountain Lion and install it. You could call Apple and see if they will sell you Lion.

Perhaps I wasn't clear...this old machine CAN'T install Mountain Lion.

I'd keep your machine with Snow leopard, because it is a bit more stable than Lion is. Is there a reason you need Lion?

Yeah, we need to update it's Xcode install to get the latest iOS SDK.
