Installing Memory & hard driver?

I have a friend that asked me to install memory and a HD into a G4 Power mac.
Is installing memory and HD the same as you would a Windows PC?
Can some one tell me what I mite need to do this install.
I have installed lots of memory and HD in Dell, HP's, and Gateways.

Any info would be helpful.

pretty much the same thing... pop it open with the side latch... pop in the memory in to the slots and add the second hard drive..
