Installing Minecraft?

Hi guys, So i'm trying to install minecraft on my new mac, I've downloaded it fine but it keeps saying to install Java and so I click install now and it does it, but when I go to open the game afterwards it just says I need to install it. I've tried a few times now and it's just going around in circles driving me nuts. I also went on the java web page and downloaded it but still not working?

I went on the java website and downloaded and installed that way. It works now.
