Being new to an Imac I am missing a step or two on installing a printer. Here's the scenario:
I have a brother printer being shared on a PC .
I downloaded the correct Mac driver for this printer on my Imac and clicked on the package to "unzip" it.
What I saw during the unzipping is that it prompted where it wanted to place trhe files and that was my Macintosh Drive. I followed the instructions and it completed.
When I tried to install the network printer it was seen on the network and I then needed to tell the system where to look for the driver. This is where I became unsure because I don't know where the driver was saved to .
Can some one enlighen me on this procedure.
