Hi. I'm new here to the forums and have been looking for a solid answer on the following:

So I'm installing a larger hard drive on a customer's new mac mini and want to make sure everything that comes with the mac (iLife, etc.) stays on the mac. I figured I can simply launch the recovery HD on the original drive and reinstall Lion but will I be required to enter any information in order to initiate the download? I want them to be able to register the mac under their name but will using the recovery feature require me to enter in my information and invalidate them from ever registering the device? I read somewhere that it sends the serial number of the mac to Apple's servers.

I know it might sound silly but I just want to be thorough. Any ideas/advice would be appreciated.
