I'm trying to figure out how to remove my current CD writer in my G4 PowerPC so that I can install my new DVD writer. I removed two screws from the thing holding the drive into place - the one that's sort of on the G4 casing, and the one that's connected to the power supply I guess it is. I then tried removing the drive but it won't budge from it's position. Are there more screws to remove? I checked my Mac manual and the Mac support site but couldn't find anything.

Help would be appreciated 🙂

Thanks, got it installed. If anyone finds this thread in a search or something, know that the installation guide posted above doesn't mention 2 screws necessary for removnig the drive, one above the drive and one below the drive, totalling 4 screws needing to be removed.

But the one on Apple's site does 😉
