Installing older Virtual PC

Hi,

I'm looking to buy an older version of VPC for my G3 iBook. I've never installed Windows before in my life. Do I have to call Microsoft or something before I install it to get some code, even if it would be an older version of Windows? Will I be able to install this program even if it was installed on a computer previously?

Most shrinkwrap packages of Virtual PC include Windows. All you have to do is to run the installer.

It's a bit of a waste of time though since Virtual PC is ridiculously slow for anything above the most basic command line typing.
